YouTube user, Jackson Carter, has showed off Xbox One controller and then the Xbox One dashboard. After loading up Ryse: The Son of Rome, he hit the Xbox button to reveal the home screen while the game still runs minimized.

Microsoft Acquires Nokia Devices and Services Business

Microsoft has just announced that they are acquiring Nokia‘s Devices and Services divisions in a move that will see Microsoft in control of Nokia’s smart phone properties. This is not a complete takeover, as Nokia will still be its own entity with its own patent portfolio. However, Microsoft will be granted a “10-year license” to Nokia’s patents.

Microsoft will pay $3.79 billion euros on the Devices and Services business and $1.65 to license patents. 32,000 staff will move from Nokia to Microsoft, with Nokia CEO Stephen Elop moving to Microsoft as executive VP of Devices and Services.

Microsoft has released a new Ryse: Son of Rome trailer highlighting the game’s Gladiator Mode.

According to the showcase, “Gladiator Mode lets you relive the intense and brutal battles of the Colosseum as you fight cooperatively with your friends against an ever-changing array of enemies to the roar of thousands of spectators.”

Xbox One: Day One Edition

Microsoft has released a new Xbox One trailer highlighting the upcoming console’s game line-up.

The list of exclusives includes Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3, Halo, Ryse: Son of Rome, Sunset Overdrive, and Killer Instinct. Titanfall will be released on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
