Uncharted 3 Teases The Last of Us PS3 Exclusive

One of the most exciting announcements set for this weekend’s Spike VGA awards is the PS3 exclusive “The Last of Us“, which has been teased several times before.

The mysterious title seems to be themed around a real-world disaster involving a viral outbreak that leaves “millions feared dead or infected”. The first teaser that went live shows a post-apocalypse feeling trailer which you can watch below:

The second teaser was a viral video that referenced a fungus using bodies to grow.

Lately, a new screenshot featured a newspaper talking about the end of humanity and quarantine zones.

There’s not much else known about the title, though fans have since discovered this morning a very suspicious reference in Naughty Dog‘s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

As you can see in the video on this page, a newspaper in the game’s opening scene makes reference to a “deadly fungus” is The Last of Us fungus the same as the Uncharted fungus? Could Uncharted and The Last of Us happen in the same universe? Could developer Naughty Dog be behind this new exclusive? Is Naughty Dog just friends with whomever is making The Last of Us?
