Apple unveiled iOS 7, the software’s biggest redesign since the debut of the original iPhone. While the heavy rumored Apple direction towards a flatter design, the current system fans could be shocked by the design overhaul. One Response to “Apple Reveals A Radical All-new Design For iOS 7”
I have been testing iOS7 on my iPhone 5 for the past week. Being honest I fell just a little tepid about the whole encounter. After many years of design innovation why have Apple made the decision to make their OS seem like a poor cousin of Microsoft’s Windows 8. On the other hand it seems to have borrowed heavily from Android. You can now swipe up to turn on/off WIFI, blue tooth, very similar to Android. To conclude I love: Newsstand, the integrated flashlight, screen transition, new compass interface and email interface.
I don’t like: no mass erase feature inside the mail program, it’s still message by message deletion. The pseudo windows interface and menu movement. The settings menu is a bit of a waste land of white space.
Like an aging married couple I am finding more faults with it as time passes but I grow to like it the more time I devote to it.
